Today

While I opened my shop for custom orders the gates were flooded open as soon as I announced it. So I guess I am back in full swing of working. I started back doing my hair clients two weeks ago so now my Saturday's are filled up with beauty and now I have to find a new work schedule for BNNB during the week that will best fit my new lifestyle of a new baby.
Today I startedto tackle all my orders I received overthe weekend and sorted them out doing the easiest ones first. Next week I should be more organized but right now if you were to sum up what is on my brain right now it would be of my baby Grey and work. What are you up to this new year?

A favorite beauty product

Now I am a huge fan of beauty makeup and hair. Always have been. Good thing I became a hairstylist. I have been experimentin with these fun things since I can remember. I had been caught by my mom trying on all her shades of lipstick and trying to not act guilty but my lipstick smeared shirt proved otherwise and I am sure timeout in the corner followed after with a smack on the bum. I would "get ready" with my big sisters when they would go out on dates. Then for the rest of the evenings I would do up and undo my hair curling and styling it in many different ways. Then starting in junior high I would help my friends with their hair and makeup and that continued to hghschool dances and even doing both my volleyball coaches hair and makeup corridor weddings. That's when my mom said that I should really think of cosmetology.

So I am always trying out new makeup products for my never-ending makeup changing phase. This new product is liquid eyeliner by Physicians formula eye booster. It has an eyelash serum in the liner to promote new lash growth plus you have great control with the wonderful tip. Creating beautiful distinct lines on your eyes. You can dine htis brand at Target. It is a hypo allergenic line great for sensitive skinned ladies. Enjoy!!!

Shabby Flower Tutorial

You can never have too many ways to make flowers.  My cute friend, Brittany of Paisley Lace and Pearls showed me this idea.  And since she doesn't blog, she allowed me to share it with you.  This is simple and fun.  So grab your scissors and favorite cotton fabric!

cut a stack of circles small to big, 5-6 layers is nice. You can alternate fabric patterns, or do as I did and turn the fabric over  so it is more "sheer".

take each petal and stretch lightly, this makes it fray and makes the the cirle crinkel/wavey.  Follow all the way around the circle.

stack them all back together and look how pretty!

stitch them in the center so they stay together.

embellish what you want...  In this case I was making a custom order for a customer.  She let me have creative freedom with this and so I take those opportunities to try new things.
